Rev. Lesley-Ann Hix Tommey is CBF field personnel serving in New York City. Partnering closely with Rauschenbusch Metro Ministries in Hell’s Kitchen, Lesley-Ann coordinates safe support communities for women who have experienced the dual-traumas of domestic violence and homelessness. She is a native of North Carolina and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill and McAfee School of Theology. Before being commissioned by CBF in 2017, Lesley-Ann has worked as a families minister, graphic designer, wedding photographer and intentional community minister. She loves taking photos, exploring NYC neighborhoods, practicing yoga and doing life with her husband, Blake.

Monica Citty Hix is a musician, minister, artist, spiritual companion and the Founding Director of Inner Ground, Inc. — a nonprofit whose mission is to nourish the human heart and spirit through contemplative practices and expressive arts (www.innerground.org). She is passionate about cultivating space where folks can discover community, explore a variety of spiritual practices and tend their inner lives. In addition to her work with Inner Ground, she is currently on staff at First Friends Meeting in Greensboro, NC and occasionally facilitates classes in the spirituality program at Columbia Theological Seminary. Monica is married to her college sweetheart, Phil, who shares her love of travel and dark chocolate. She finds nourishment in tending her backyard garden, long walks with her Wheaten Terrier, Frankie, practicing yoga and being mom to Lesley-Ann and Reid.
